My name is Kristin Wanamaker (formerly Brown) and I've been teaching at El Camino High School for 28 years.  I started my teaching career as a special education teacher where I taught students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and emotional issues for 12 years.  As a special education teacher I taught every subject but most of those years I taught math.  During that time I worked to earn my math credential and have been enjoying teaching in the math department ever since.  I love my job and look forward to going to work every day!

Personally, I have 5 boys and two grandsons.  The oldest is married and has two boys. My second son graduated from Chapman University in 2023.  I have a senior and a sohomore in college and the youngest is a sophomore at EC. Of course they are the light of my life! I also went to EC, I often joke that I bleed brown and gold. I loved coming here as a student, I'm proud to send my kids here and I hope to remain teaching at EC for the length of my career.
